Three New Directorates Established To Support Critical Warfighting Domain
The US Navy has disestablished its information warfare directorate, realigning its functions across the office of the Chief of Naval Operations. The move establishes three new organizations to support the various IW functions, including the Director of OPNAV Intelligence Division, Assistant DCNO for IW Requirements and Capabilities, and Director for IW. This realignment reflects the Navy’s recognition of IW as a critical warfighting domain at all levels of warfare, as reported by Breaking Defense.
