Alliance To Offer Vetted Solutions For Member Nations
NATO is establishing a marketplace for counter-drone systems, allowing member nations to quickly procure and adopt new technology. The alliance has invited companies to pitch their solutions, with 18 systems to be selected for contracts by summer. This initiative is part of NATO’s Rapid Adoption Action Plan, aiming to shorten the delay in getting cutting-edge technology to troops. According to Defense News, the marketplace will offer a range of solutions for point, area, and border defense, with contracts including purchasing and leasing options.
