Social Media Giant Expands Robotics Efforts With Assured Robot Intelligence
Meta has acquired Assured Robot Intelligence (ARI), a startup developing AI for humanoid robots, in a move that deepens its stake in the robotics intelligence race. ARI, a small San Diego-based startup with about 20 employees, is focused on high-precision dexterity and manipulation in robotics, crucial elements for making robots useful in industrial settings or at home. The acquisition is another indication of Meta’s push toward robotics, following the formation of a robotics group within its Reality Labs division in 2025.
