Lockheed Martin has announced the retirement of Greg Ulmer as head of its aeronautics business, with Skunk Works chief OJ Sanchez taking over the role. The aeronautics arm is a significant part of Lockheed Martin’s operations, with a $30 billion annual business and over 35,000 employees. Ulmer, who has been with the company since 1995, will stay on as a strategic advisor to support a smooth transition. Sanchez, a former F-22 pilot, joined Lockheed Martin in 2014 and has held various roles in the aeronautics division, including leading Skunk Works since 2025.
