Korean Automaker Re-Enters Advanced Air Mobility Market
Supernal, the US-based advanced air mobility arm of Hyundai, has announced a partnership with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to revive its aircraft program. The partnership will see Supernal and KAI collaborate on the development of advanced air mobility aircraft, with Supernal acting as the Design Authority and Technical Lead. KAI will contribute its expertise in airframe development and supply chain management. The move comes after Supernal paused its eVTOL project in September 2025, citing a need to evaluate strategic options. This development was first reported by AeroTime.
