Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Redefines Cargo Packaging With Recycled Materials
The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has announced the winners of its Eighth Air Cargo Sustainability Awards, with Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (HACTL) taking top honors in the Corporate Category for its project to reduce plastic waste through the use of recycled cargo films. HACTL’s initiative, ‘Redefining Cargo Packaging Through Circular Materials,’ has the potential to divert approximately 700 tonnes of plastic waste annually from landfill and significantly reduce lifecycle carbon emissions. The award was presented in partnership with CHAMP Cargosystems, as reported by AeroTime.
