Five-Year Reauthorization Invests In Roads, Bridges, And Rail
The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee has announced a bipartisan, five-year surface transportation reauthorization bill, known as the BUILD America 250 Act. The bill invests in America’s roads, bridges, transit, rail transportation, and highway and motor carrier safety programs, with a focus on moving people, goods, and freight safely and efficiently. The bill provides the largest ever investment in America’s bridges and strengthens the Highway Trust Fund with a new revenue stream, as reported by the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
