Right To Integrate Initiative Aims For Common Operating System
The US Army is pushing industry partners to open up their software for a ‘hackathon’ series, aiming to create a common operating system across its disparate platforms. The ‘Right to Integrate’ initiative, which includes nine major defense companies, seeks to shed conflicting information silos and promote interoperability. According to Dr. Alex Miller, the Army’s chief technology officer, companies must expose their interfaces and documentation to participate in the ecosystem. This effort was first reported by DefenseScoop.
