Congresswoman Criticizes Army's Procurement Strategy Amid Funding Cuts
The US Army is seeking to cancel the CH-47F Block II program, according to Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon, who represents Boeing’s facility in Pennsylvania. The Army’s fiscal 2027 budget does not include funding for the program, which has been subject to procurement uncertainty in recent years. Boeing has delivered six CH-47F Block II aircraft to the US Army, with a total of 24 aircraft on contract. The production line at Boeing’s Ridley Park facility has fallen below the minimum sustaining rate. This development was reported by Aviation Week.
