Air Force Debuts Operational AI Wargame Capability
The US Air Force has debuted its new artificial intelligence wargame system, WarMatrix, in an operational capacity. The system, described as a human-machine teaming environment, integrates existing models and data to expedite analysis and provide transparency, auditability, and speed. WarMatrix was used in the GE 26 Benchmark Wargame, marking its inaugural operational use. According to the Air Force, the system provided a more connected and traceable wargaming process, with faster scenario development and increased collaboration with joint and coalition partners.
