European Shipbuilders Collaborate Amid Industry Strain
ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) and Navantia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore collaboration on naval projects, including potential submarine production at a Navantia shipyard in Spain. The agreement comes as Europe’s maritime industry faces strain and uncertainty, with both companies seeking to address bottlenecks in shipyard capacity and technological resources. The partnership aims to implement projects more efficiently, quickly, and cost-effectively, with management-level talks to be launched in full compliance with competition and export control regulations.
