Compact Three-In-One Solution Offers Enhanced Positioning And Timing

Thales has unveiled the TopStar Smart Receiver, a compact three-in-one Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) solution that combines positioning, navigation, and timing with anti-jamming protection. The receiver is designed for land vehicles, drones, and munitions operating in contested electromagnetic environments. Thales aims to provide a sovereign European supply chain for the product, with full assembly handled in Valence, France. The launch comes as the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and Eurocontrol have published a joint action plan to address persistent GNSS interference. The TopStar Smart Receiver is already available for testing in operational conditions, according to AeroTime.
