Three Small Companies Win $3 Million Each For Space Domain Awareness
The Space Rapid Capabilities Office, in partnership with SpaceWERX, has awarded contracts worth $3 million each to three small companies to develop new radar warning receivers for future satellites in geosynchronous Earth orbit. The awards to Assurance Technology Corporation, Raptor Dynamix, and Innovative Signal Analysis, Inc. are part of the Small Business Innovation Research Direct-to-Phase II program. The radar warning receivers will detect and characterize emissions from ground-based radars, improving the Space Force’s space domain awareness capabilities. This development is part of a larger effort to promote real-time own-ship awareness for US national security satellites, as reported by Breaking Defense.
