Maritime Drone Manufacturer Expands Capabilities For Anti-Sub Warfare

California-based Saildrone has unveiled a new medium unmanned surface vessel (MUSV) designed for anti-submarine warfare and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations. The MUSV, called Spectre, comes in two variants and features a concealed payload deck to hold multiple containers. Saildrone has teamed up with Lockheed Martin to configure the platform to accommodate various payloads. The vessel is expected to cost around $40 million, depending on the payload and configuration.
