German Army Expands Infantry Soldier Of The Future Program
Rheinmetall has secured a $1.2 billion contract from Germany’s federal office of armed forces equipment, information technology and support for additional Infantry Soldier of the Future - Enhanced System kit. The contract includes delivery of 237 more platoon systems and modernization of current ones, with deliveries planned between 2027 and 2029. The German army will have a total of 353 platoon systems, covering over 12,000 individual sets of equipment. This development was first reported by Breaking Defense.
