Major Defense Deal Supports Ukraine Air Defense Capabilities
Raytheon has finalized a $3.7 billion contract to supply Ukraine with Patriot Guidance Enhanced Missile-Tactical (GEM-T) interceptors. The contract involves the delivery of the Patriot Advanced Capability-2 (PAC-2) GEM-T, designed to neutralize airborne threats including tactical ballistic missiles and hostile aircraft. Production will partly take place at a new manufacturing facility in Schrobenhausen, Germany. This deal comes after Raytheon signed a $627 million agreement with the Netherlands for additional Patriot air and missile defense system equipment. The contract was reported by Army Technology.
