Defense Giant To Accelerate Production Of Advanced Interceptors
The Pentagon has agreed to a $4.7 billion contract with Lockheed Martin to accelerate production of its Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement interceptors. The contract follows a framework agreement announced in January and aims to deliver record numbers of combat-proven interceptors for American and allied forces. Lockheed Martin’s president of Missiles and Fire Control, Tim Cahill, stated that the company is positioned to deliver a record number of munitions in support of the warfighter and allies. The deal was reported by Federal Times.
