US Government Awards Major Defence Contract For Missile Production
The US Government has awarded Lockheed Martin a $4.7 billion contract to accelerate the production of Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) interceptors. The contract aims to support both domestic and allied defence requirements, with the goal of delivering increased quantities of these interceptors within the current year. The PAC-3 MSE missile is part of the Patriot weapon system and is used for air defence, with the capability to engage tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aircraft. This contract was first reported by Army Technology.
