All Occupants Safe After Turboprop Veers Off Runway At Mandera Airport
A Kenyan-registered Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia turboprop, operated by EBB Air, experienced a runway excursion at Mandera airport while landing from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta airport. All 36 occupants, including 32 passengers and four crew members, were safely evacuated with no injuries reported. The aircraft came to rest in vegetation near the perimeter fence, but the extent of damage is not disclosed.
