Tehran Airport Reopens For Commercial Traffic After Two Months
Iran has resumed commercial flights from Tehran’s international airport for the first time since the conflict with the US and Israel began two months ago. Flights to Istanbul, Muscat, and Medina took off from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport on Saturday. Iran’s state-owned carrier, Iran Air, operated its inaugural flight to Mashhad after a 56-day hiatus. The resumption of flights comes as authorities consult with foreign airlines to clarify routes and re-attract transit flights, according to Al Jazeera.
