Multinational Military Mission To Secure Troubled Waterway
A coalition of over 40 nations, led by France and the UK, is committed to reopening the Strait of Hormuz through the Multinational Military Mission. The effort aims to deploy a range of high-end aviation and naval equipment to safeguard the waterway and revive global trade strained by Iran’s blockade. Several countries, including the UK, France, and Australia, have pledged military assets to the mission. The European Union has also expressed interest in expanding its Operation Aspides to support the effort. The mission was first reported by Breaking Defense.
