European Union Aims to Strengthen Manufacturing and Localization
The European Union is developing a new economic policy, known as the Industrial Accelerator Act, aimed at strengthening its manufacturing sector and enhancing economic security. The policy focuses on supporting manufacturing, localizing supply chains, and streamlining industrial project launches. The EU’s industry share of GDP has declined significantly since 2000, and the new policy aims to reverse this trend. The initiative is significant for Ukraine, which has EU candidate status, as it may provide opportunities for the country to become part of European production chains. The policy is expected to be finalized in mid- or late 2027, as reported by Censor.NET.
