Israeli Carrier Boosts Long-Haul Capacity With Dreamliner Order

El Al Israel Airlines is expanding its long-haul capacity with a deal to buy up to 12 more Boeing 787 Dreamliners, worth about $1.5 billion. The airline is exercising an option to buy six more 787-9s and converting four previously planned aircraft to the larger 787-10 variant, with deliveries scheduled between 2030 and 2032. El Al also secured options to buy up to six additional 787s for delivery between 2033 and 2035. The move extends El Al’s long-standing commitment to Boeing aircraft and is expected to increase capacity and improve efficiency, according to El Al Chief Executive Levy Halevy.
