German Aerospace Center Tests Shape-Shifting Wing Technology
Germany’s DLR has begun flight testing a morphing-wing technology demonstrator, the Proteus test aircraft, under the MorphAIR project. The uncrewed testbed is designed to showcase the potential of shape-shifting wings in flight. According to Aviation Week, the project aims to integrate artificial intelligence and morphing technologies, which could have significant implications for future aircraft design.
