Collins Aerospace to Supply Bell MV-75 FLRAA Systems

Commercial Technology Powers Next-Gen Tiltrotor Program

RTX’s Collins Aerospace has been chosen by Bell to provide five onboard systems for the US Army’s MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), a next-generation tiltrotor set to replace over 2,000 UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. The contracts cover various systems, including main power generation and the SmartProbe air data system, with several packages to be procured through commercial acquisition authorities to speed up delivery. Collins Aerospace’s existing manufacturing and service capacity worldwide will support the US Army’s delivery, modernization, and sustainment of the MV-75 over its 50-year service life. The FLRAA program, with a potential total acquisition value exceeding $70 billion, is one of the largest rotorcraft programs in US military history. This development was first reported by AeroTime.
