Singapore Changi Airport reported a 2.3% increase in passenger traffic for the first quarter of 2026, handling 17.6 million passengers despite disruptions in the Middle East. The airport’s aircraft movements also rose 1.4% to 95,300, while cargo volumes climbed 7.6% to 517,000 tonnes. Strong travel demand to and from North Asia and Europe helped offset the impact of the Middle East crisis, with top markets including China, Indonesia, and Malaysia. According to AeroTime, Changi Airport Group’s Executive Vice President Lim Ching Kiat noted the airport’s resilience and close collaboration with airline partners in response to evolving passenger demand.
