China Expands Commercial Space Capabilities With New Hub
Beijing is set to launch its Satellite Town, a hub for satellite manufacturers and operators, with the core area expected to be completed in the second half of 2026. The town is designed to foster industrial clustering and enable the efficient flow of talent, capital, and technology, according to state-owned media Beijing Daily. This development is part of China’s growing aerospace industry, with commercial launches now accounting for over 60% of all space launches, as reported by Reuters.
