Blue Origin Launch Error Raises Investor Concerns About Future Deployments
AST SpaceMobile’s shares dropped sharply after its satellite was placed in a lower-than-planned orbit by Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin. The satellite, BlueBird 7, was launched on Blue Origin’s third New Glenn rocket and was intended to be the company’s eighth satellite in low-earth orbit. Despite the setback, AST SpaceMobile expects to continue launching satellites at a rate of about one every one to two months in 2026. The incident was reported by CNBC.
