Europe's Most Powerful Rocket Deploys Amazon Leo Constellation
The Ariane 6 rocket, Europe’s most powerful launch vehicle, is set to launch 32 Amazon Leo satellites into low Earth orbit on April 30. The mission, dubbed VA268, will be the seventh-ever flight of the Ariane 6 and the second of its most powerful variant, the Ariane 64. Amazon’s Leo constellation, previously known as Project Kuiper, aims to provide broadband internet services and will eventually consist of 3,200 satellites. The launch was reported by Yahoo, courtesy of Arianespace.
