US Carrier Seeks Government Approval for Daily Nonstop Service
American Airlines is working to restart flights to Venezuela by the end of April 2026, subject to government approval. The airline plans to offer daily nonstop service between Miami International Airport and Caracas, operated by its regional subsidiary Envoy Air using Embraer 175 aircraft. American Airlines suspended flights to Venezuela in 2019 due to safety concerns, but is now encouraged by progress made with both US and Venezuelan governments. The airline has expressed gratitude for the support of the US administration, including Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
