Industry Leading Freighter Takes Shape Ahead Of Flight Tests
Airbus is preparing to install the industry’s largest main deck cargo door on the first A350F, ahead of the start of the test flight program. The door, measuring 4.3 meters wide when open, will enable the A350F to transport industry-leading loads with efficient loading and unloading operations. The A350F, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, will be capable of flying up to 8,700 kilometers with a payload of up to 111 tons. With 101 orders from 14 customers, including a recent order from Atlas Air for 20 aircraft, the A350F is gaining traction in the market. This development was first reported by AeroTime.
