Global Military Interest In Space Warfare Expands Rapidly
A new report by the Secure World Foundation finds that 13 nations are now seeking counterspace capabilities, with a growing number of militaries around the world developing non-lethal and lethal capabilities to target space systems. The report notes that while only non-destructive capabilities are currently being used, the development of destructive capabilities could have significant global repercussions. The US, Russia, and China have the most significant arsenals, with other nations such as Germany, India, and Japan also pursuing counterspace capabilities. The report was released by Breaking Defense.
