Austrian Hub Expands Capacity and Focuses on Quality

Vienna Airport, operated by Vienna International Airport GmbH, reported a record 32.6 million passengers in 2025, driven by strong demand for European travel. The airport is investing €420 million in a new Terminal 3 project, which will add 70,000 square meters of terminal space and improve the passenger experience. Austrian Airlines is the largest carrier, with 50% of traffic. Wizz Air and Ryanair reduced operations at the airport, but Vienna Airport remains committed to expanding its network and improving its connectivity to certain parts of the world.
