Middle East Conflict Strains US Stockpiles Amid Production Pressures
The United States has informally requested that Poland consider redeploying one of its two Patriot air defense batteries to the Middle East, according to a report by Polish daily Rzeczpospolita. The request comes as the US faces significant challenges in maintaining its air defense capabilities in the region, with high demand for PAC-3 MSE interceptors outpacing production. Poland reached full operational readiness with both Patriot batteries in late 2025, and the systems include 16 launchers capable of engaging targets at distances of up to 100 kilometers.
