Royal Air Force Jets Engage Hostile Drones Over Jordan
The Royal Air Force’s F-35B jets have successfully engaged and destroyed Iranian-launched drones over Jordan, marking the first time an RAF F-35 has destroyed a target in combat operations. The UK’s Ministry of Defence announced the operation, which was supported by RAF Typhoon fighters and a Voyager tanker. The move comes amid a surge of Iranian drone and missile launches across the region, prompting several countries to strengthen their air defenses. According to AeroTime, the UK will deploy HMS Dragon, a Type 45 air-defense destroyer, to Cyprus to help protect the base and surrounding airspace.
