UK and Turkey Strengthen Defense Ties with New Training and Maintenance Deal

The UK and Turkey have signed a new support and training agreement for the Eurofighter Typhoon, covering pilot and technician training in the UK. BAE Systems has secured a £2.5 billion contract to provide support and training services. The agreement includes production of components and spares to support Turkey’s maintenance of the aircraft. The deal was announced on March 25, 2026, and follows a previous fighter deal in October 2025. The agreement was signed in London by UK Defence Secretary John Healey and Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler.
