Space Force Accelerates Development of Homeland Air Defense Capabilities
The Trump administration has upped its Golden Dome spending plan to $185 billion, with a focus on accelerating the development of space capabilities to protect the homeland from incoming aerial threats. According to Gen. Michael Guetlein, the four-star Space Force general leading the charge, the program aims to address scalability and affordability concerns while leveraging industry partnerships. With nine companies already involved in building out the command and control layer of Golden Dome, the project’s progress is being closely monitored.
