Thales Group has unveiled SkyDefender, a multi-layer, multi-domain integrated air and missile defense system designed to offer full protection against all types of air threats. The system relies on an integrated network of advanced sensors and effectors through Thales’ SkyView command and control system. SkyDefender is built on an open, modular architecture, allowing for easy integration with existing defenses and further development as threats evolve. According to AeroTime, Thales’ innovation is seen as Europe’s answer to the US’s Golden Dome initiative, announced by President Trump last year.
