Star Alliance Streamlines Transfers for Passengers at LAX
Star Alliance has opened a new connection center at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), its ninth such facility worldwide. The center, designed to assist passengers with tight connections, uses dedicated agents and software to identify passengers at risk of missing flights. Staff meet arriving passengers at the gate and guide them to their next departure. This initiative reflects the alliance’s commitment to delivering a seamless experience across its global network. The center is the latest in a series of efforts to streamline transfers for passengers connecting between member airlines. The Star Alliance has operated connection centers for more than a decade, with similar facilities at Brussels Airport, Chicago OHare International Airport, Frankfurt Airport, and Toronto Pearson International Airport, among others. Star Alliance has 16 member airlines serving LAX, operating over 2,000 weekly flights to more than 80 destinations across 20 countries. The center was first reported by AeroTime.
