Space Force Awards Kratos $446.8M for MEO Missile Tracking System

Space Force Awards Kratos Technology and Training Solutions for MEO Missile Tracking

The Space Force has awarded Kratos Technology and Training Solutions $446.8 million to build the ground system for its medium Earth orbit (MEO) constellation to track ballistic and hypersonic cruise missiles. The program aims to support the Resilient Missile Warning Tracking (MWT) architecture in MEO. Kratos will manage operations at a corresponding ground-based Space Operations Center. The award is a follow-on to an original $55 million task order awarded to Parsons Corporation in April 2023. The Space Force plans a baseline constellation of about 30 Resilient MWT MEO satellites, with the first set of nine Epoch 1 satellites scheduled to launch in 2027.
