Legendary Aviation Leader Passes Away After Three Decades Of Innovation
The aviation community is mourning the loss of Russell W. ‘Russ’ Meyer Jr., the former chairman and CEO of Cessna Aircraft Company. Meyer led Cessna for nearly 30 years, overseeing the development and launch of Citation business jets and playing a key role in stabilizing the industry through the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1994. He earned numerous top aviation awards, including two Collier Trophies and induction into the National Aviation Hall of Fame. This announcement was made by Cessna, a part of Textron Aviation.
