Airline Uses Muscat As Base Amid Qatari Airspace Closure
Qatar Airways has arranged a series of repatriation flights from Oman to Europe, as its operations in Doha remain suspended due to the Qatari airspace closure. The flights, which include destinations such as London, Berlin, and Amsterdam, are operating from Muscat International Airport. The airline has confirmed that it will resume operations once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the safe reopening of Qatari airspace. Emirates has also announced a reduced flight schedule from the UAE, following the limited reopening of its airspace. The developments come amid ongoing conflict in the region, which has seen hundreds of missiles and drones launched against several countries, including Kuwait, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Oman, and Qatar.
