Norway has announced plans to spend an additional 115 billion Krone ($11.8 billion) on defense over the next decade, aiming to reach NATO’s 3.5 percent GDP spending target by 2035. The new funding will support the acquisition of combat-critical munitions, Type 212CD submarines, and Type 26 frigates. Norway expects to sign a deal with Northrop Grumman to procure AARGM-ER munitions for its F-35 joint strike fighters.
