Maritime Security Boost With Renewal Of Naval Assets
The New Zealand government has announced NZ$1.58bn ($933.15m) in new funding for the Defence Force, with a primary emphasis on strengthening maritime security and renewing naval assets. The allocation includes NZ$880m for operating costs and NZ$700m for capital expenditure, and will support key initiatives such as the Maritime Fleet Renewal programme and maintenance of Anzac-class frigates. This investment is part of the Defence Capability Plan, and was first reported by Naval Technology.
