US Central Command has announced that Lockheed Martin-made Precision Strike Missiles (PrSMs) were used in combat for the first time during Operation Epic Fury, according to a post on X from CENTCOM’s official account. The missiles were operated from M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and M270A2 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). The targets included command centers, ballistic missile sites, and Iranian ships and submarines. Breaking Defense previously reported on the development of PrSM Increment 4 designs that could double the range of the current version.
