Australian Army Fleet Maintenance Partnership Explored
Lockheed Martin Australia is working with Rheinmetall Defence Australia to explore opportunities for sustaining the Australian Army’s fleet of High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) vehicles in-country. The potential collaboration could leverage Rheinmetall’s Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence in Queensland and established facilities in South Australia to deliver a robust sustainment model. This initiative aligns with the Australian Government’s Sovereign Defence Industrial Priority 3, focusing on the sustainment and enhancement of combined-arms land systems. The announcement was made by Lockheed Martin Australia, as reported by Breaking Defense.
