Italian Giant Expands Land Defence Portfolio with Major Acquisition

Leonardo has acquired Iveco Defence Vehicles in a €1.7 billion deal, expanding its presence in the European market and strengthening its role as a leading OEM in land defence. The acquisition complements Leonardo’s existing portfolio of solutions for defence and security, and is expected to leverage the complementary sales networks of both companies. Available cash resources will finance the deal, which is also planned to prioritize new Main Battle Tanks and Infantry Fighting Vehicles for Rome.
