Latin American Carrier Expands Fleet Amid Global Growth
LATAM Airlines has confirmed it will reach 400 aircraft by 2026, with 26 new aircraft added in 2025 and 41 expected in 2026. The airline is also set to receive its first Embraer E195 and Airbus A321XLR aircraft, which will enable it to expand its regional and international routes. According to LATAM’s CEO, Roberto Alvo, these new aircraft will be crucial for the airline’s future growth. This expansion may signal LATAM’s confidence in its growth strategy and ability to compete with larger carriers. The airline’s fleet growth is expected to place it among the 12 largest carriers in the world by 2026.
