Electric VTOL Startup Commences FAA-Certification Process
Joby Aviation has started flight testing its FAA-conforming aircraft, marking a significant milestone in the certification process. The aircraft, N547JX, is the final design built for the Type Inspection Authorization (TIA) and represents a major step towards commercial operations. Joby was selected as one of eight partners in the United States Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) Integration Pilot Program, which aims to accelerate the roll out of advanced air mobility operations.
