Chinese Satellite Operator Expands IoT Services in Asia Pacific
Guodian Gaoke, a Chinese satellite operator, has been granted a two-year trial licence by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) to offer LEO satellite-based IoT services in China. The company plans to use the trial period to accelerate the deployment and activation of its Tianqi LEO satellite constellation, which currently has 41 satellites in orbit. Guodian Gaoke aims to launch an additional 640 satellites in the second phase of its global network. This development was reported by Developing Telecoms.
